High-quality reporting in scientific publications is crucial for: you and your team success applying for grants and obtaining funding awards advancement of research spreading research findings and comparing new ideas within the scientific community.
Mario Negri Scientific Writing Academy uniqueness lies in the teaching method used. Students are asked to draft a paper based on real scientific data and their progress will be discussed daily. Through a guided process of critical analysis, handling everyday practical problems and real research experience scenarios, trainees will address and complete all phases of drafting a research paper for publication. Eight fellows/session (PhD students, medical doctors, etc.) will be accepted to the scientific writing full time training course.
The tools necessary to succeed in publishing scientific papers in top international journals or to prepare a grant application an in-depth understanding of scientific peer-review publishing how to best present your work.
English-based tutorials will be mentored by Prof. Valerie Luyckx and several senior investigators from Mario Negri Institute. Prof. Luyckx has extensive knowledge of “How to and How not to Write a Paper”. He is a professor at the University of Zurich, Germany and has worked on several international scientific journals.
Meeting the educational goals of this course is guaranteed by the institute’s extensive experience in the field of training and education. The institute has training programs for post-graduates and diploma holders and holds a PhD program in collaboration with the London Open University and Maastricht University (NL).
Registration Fee: 400 euro.
The Registration Fee includes tuition, housing at Villa Camozzi (from Sunday evening to the following Sunday morning), meals and a social program.
Travel expenses: the Commission will consider supporting people coming from emerging countries with 1,000 USD for participants from outside of Europe and 400 USD for participants in developing countries in Europe.
